Introducing Quasar 1.0 – our strongest model

Ares 1.7 (retired)

37.1 million facts, extended with verified knowledge about people, places and works.

Ares 1.7

Ares 1.7 is retired. The model is no longer developed and is documented here only for the record.

Ares 1.7 is a new model for Lattice. For us, a model is a knowledge base; Lattice itself stays the same system.

What's new

Ares adds verified, structured information about people, places and works to Omni-Compact's knowledge. That makes it the better choice for questions involving names.

Why it won't become the standard

Before measuring, we set the bar: a new standard model must reach at least Omni-Compact's 96.2%. Ares reached 95.5%. So Omni-Compact remains the standard, and Ares is available alongside it.

What we learned

Ares was built in five iterations. Each one exposed a different error, for example entries with the same name that merged into a single one. More facts do not automatically mean better answers.
